The Early Phase

1974's ~ 1999's

The year 1974, the beginning of Kyungshin
It shares a history with Korean automotive industries.

1974's

  • Established Kyungshin Industry
  • Began to supply vehicle components to Hyundai Motors (PONY models, Wiring Harness manufacturing)

1979's

  • Acquired official permission for electrical goods manufacturing (Began to produce synthetic resin insulated wires, rubber insulated wire products)

1982's

  • Obtained Korean Standards certification on automotive low-tension cables (AV) for the first time in Korea

1984's

  • Awarded the Order of Industrial Service Merit
  • Completed the construction of the factory in Gyeongju (Manufacturing vehicle wiring harnesses)

1989's

  • Completed the construction of the factory in Asan (Manufacturing cables)

1991's

  • Began to produce cross-linked cables
  • Received the best quality management award (“0” PPM, ISUZU)

2000’s~2016’s

Kyungshin Cable, the leading company in the Korean automotive cable market.
It challenges the world.

2000's

  • Subsidiarized the company. Founded Kyungshin Cable
  • Obtained QS9000 Certification

2003's

  • Obtained ISO 14001 Certification
  • Registered as a Japan SONY green Partner
  • Obtained ISO/TS 16949 Certification

2004's

  • Obtained CSA Certification
  • Obtained -F- Mark Certification (JQA)
  • Established Kyungshin New Materials Co., Ltd. in Qingdao, China

2007's

  • Established R&D Center
  • Obtained a patent on power cables for industrial robots
  • Won a silver medal at the National Competition Quality Control Circles

2010's

  • Obtained photovoltaic cable VDE Certification
  • Enacted and declared CI
  • Established Kyungshin Cable Mexico
  • Won the Export Tower Award for 30 million dollars

2011's

  • Obtained photovoltaic cable UL Certification
  • Obtained photovoltaic cable TUV Certification
  • Obtained Electric Vehicle cable UL Certification
  • Won the Export Tower Award for 50 million dollars
  • Transferred Head Quarter (from Asan, Chungcheongnam-do → Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do)

2013's

  • Established Kyungshin Cable International
  • Changed the corporate name of the affiliate in China (Qingdao Kyungshin New Materials Co., Ltd. → Qingdao Kyungshin Cable Co., Ltd.)
  • Won the Export Tower Award for 70 million dollars

2014's

  • Established Kyungshin Cable Shanghai branch (Currently Shanghai KiB Management)

The Take-off Phase

2017’s~present

We are going into a new era in conformity with changing trends under the name of Kyungshin.

2017's

  • Founded KiB Cluster (Kyungshin Group’s employees work in cooperation)
  • Established Changzhou Kyungshin Cable in China
  • Participated in Seoul Motor Show

2018's

  • Newly established Electrical Distribution Systems division
  • Established Kyungshin Cable Poland
  • Won the Export Tower Award for 100 million dollars

2020's

  • Ground-breaking ceremony for Kyungshin Cable Europe in Serbia
  • Established Kyungshin Cable Europe

2021's

  • Established Kyungshin Cable Türkiye
  • Completed the construction of the auto parts factory in Gómez Palacio, Mexico

2024's

  • Kyungshin Group 50th Anniversary
